Calacas are the most well known symbol of Día de Muertos in México; a day for remembering our loved ones who have passed, celebrating life, and laughing in the face of la muerte.

Alebrijes are mythical creatures originating from Mexican folk art. Their bodies are a combination of animal parts painted in colores vibrantes.

The most powerful empire in America before the arrival of the Europeans was the Aztecs. They were guerreros who controlled vast parts of what is today central Mexico. Their beautiful cities struck awe in the Spanish when they first arrived. Mexicans celebrate many aspects of Aztec culture.
